Orchard Residential Care was established in 2007 in the North West and today is a leading provider of children’s residential services operating across numerous locations in Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon and Cavan and continues to expand to other parts of the country.
Orchard Residential works with the Tusla children in care and Separated Children Seeking International Protection service and accepts referrals for residential care for children between the ages of 8 and 18 who require out of home care.
The children’s needs may include emotional, cognitive, mental or attachment-related needs which require enhanced support to address and thereby enable them to develop into healthy young people and adults.
All our staff have been recruited and trained to work effectively with our children and young people who have experienced significant trauma, neglect and abuse often resulting in difficulty forming and maintaining mutually supportive relationships.
The approach to delivering services at Orchard Residential Care is driven by the values of the organisation as follows:
- Collaboration: We work in partnership with the people we support, our employees and our external stakeholders
- Integrity: We ensure trust, accountability, respect and responsibility in how we work
- Excellence: We deliver quality services to the people we support
- Advocacy: We are the voice of the people we support
- Human Rights: We take a rights-based approach to how we plan and deliver services, to uphold equality and human rights for the people we support
